Recombinant Bovine Enterokinase (rb-EK)

High-Efficiency Serine Protease for Fusion Tag Removal | Yeast-expressed

Product Description

Recombinant Bovine Enterokinase (rb-EK) is a highly specific serine protease that precisely recognizes the Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys (DDDDK) sequence and cleaves at the C-terminal side of Lys. It rapidly removes N-terminal fusion tags to release target proteins, making it an essential tool for protein purification and functional studies.

Product Advantages

High Specificity Accurately cleaves the DDDDK sequence, preventing nonspecific degradation of target proteins.
Exceptional Efficiency 1 mg rb-EK cleaves at least 1.5 g of fusion protein; suitable for large-scale production.
Broad Applicability Ideal for genetic engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, and biopharmaceutical research.
Convenient Purification C-terminal His tag enables easy removal via metal affinity chromatography.

Applications

  • N-terminal Fusion Tag Removal
  • Protein Purification
  • Protein Functional Studies
  • Biopharmaceutical Development
