What is the difference between neutralizing and non-neutralizing Anti-ID antibodies?

Neutralizing (blocking) Anti-IDs bind the CDR region of the drug antibody and compete with the drug's target for binding — they detect only the free (unbound) drug in serum. Non-neutralizing Anti-IDs bind the variable region outside the CDR, so they detect the drug whether or not it is bound to target — measuring total drug concentration. Your PK assay design determines which type you need; many programs require both.

What is the guaranteed paired antibody service?

AtaGenix delivers matched Anti-ID pairs that recognize different idiotopes on your drug antibody and are pre-validated to work together in a sandwich ELISA format. This means one Anti-ID serves as capture and the other as detection, with confirmed non-competing epitopes. This paired delivery significantly accelerates PK/ADA kit development by eliminating the trial-and-error of testing random clone combinations.

Should I choose mouse or rabbit mAb Anti-ID?

Rabbit mAb Anti-IDs (via our Xten™ Mab platform) offer higher affinity, broader epitope diversity, and faster turnaround (2–3 months). Mouse mAb Anti-IDs (via hybridoma, 4–6 months) are preferred when your downstream assay requires mouse-origin antibodies for compatibility with existing secondary antibody detection systems. Both platforms are available, and AtaGenix can recommend the optimal species based on your assay configuration.

Do I need to provide the drug antibody, or can you source it?

You can provide your own purified therapeutic antibody (≥85% purity), or we can source it for you. Our reagent brand abinScience maintains a catalog of 2,500+ Research Biosimilar reference antibodies covering virtually all marketed therapeutic mAbs (Adalimumab, Trastuzumab, Bevacizumab, Nivolumab, Pembrolizumab, Rituximab, etc.). These are ready to use as immunogens for Anti-ID development. Alternatively, AtaGenix can express your antibody recombinantly via our CHO or HEK293 platform if the sequence is available.

Can I also get PK ELISA kits or ADA detection kits?

Yes. abinScience offers 196 PK ELISA kits and 28 NAb/ADA ELISA kits as off-the-shelf catalog products. If your target drug is covered, you can purchase the kit directly. If not, AtaGenix can develop a custom Anti-ID pair and then build a PK or ADA ELISA kit around it as an add-on service.
